Rohan Verma leads PhoneLookup's technical desk. Before joining PhoneLookup he spent nine years as an SRE and network engineer at two Tier-1 telecom carriers, working on SIP interconnect fraud detection and STIR/SHAKEN pilots. He writes about the mechanics of phone-network abuse — how caller-ID spoofing gets past operators, how wangiri fraud gateways are billed, and how country-code patterns emerge in scam reports — in plain language for non-technical readers. Rohan holds a BTech in Electronics and Communication from IIT Roorkee.
